Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Daruin. By using the app, you agree to follow them.

1. The service

Daruin is a mobile app (iOS, Android) and website for organizing gifts, wishlists, and family memories. Operated by Gabriel Pîrvu, a sole proprietor based in Romania.

2. Account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
• You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. No automated accounts or bots.

3. Your content

All content you add (photos, wishlists, messages, etc.) belongs to you. By using the app, you grant us a limited right to store and display it only to you and the members you invite. We don't use it for anything else — no AI training, no advertising, no analytics.

4. Prohibited conduct

Please don't:

• Harass or abuse other users.
• Upload illegal, violent, pornographic, or copyright-infringing content.
• Try to access data not yours, or break the app's security.
• Use the app for spam, fraud, or unauthorized commercial activity.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payments and contributions

Daruin makes contributions visible but doesn't process payments itself. Money is transferred directly between users via their preferred methods (Revolut, bank transfer, cash). The app only marks status (sent/received). We're not responsible for financial disputes between users.

6. Premium and subscriptions

Some features may require a premium subscription. Payments are processed through the App Store or Google Play. You can unsubscribe anytime via your store account. Refunds are handled by the respective platform.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep the service running 24/7 but don't guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance or technical issues may cause temporary downtime.

8. Liability limitation

The app is provided "as-is", with no explicit or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
• Lost data (we run daily backups).
• Actions of other users.

Our maximum liability is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months (or zero for free users).

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime in settings. Data is permanently removed within 30 days. We can suspend or terminate the service at any time with 30 days notice (exception: serious violations — immediate termination).

10. Changes

Terms may be updated. Major changes are announced 14 days in advance. Continued use after the change date = acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are first resolved amicably. Otherwise, courts in Iași, Romania have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting EU consumer rights to ODR mediation (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
